Job Descriptions:

Position Description:
The Trainer for Mobile Phone Repair is responsible for delivering practical and theoretical training on mobile phone maintenance and repair to trainees. The trainer will equip participants with the necessary technical skills to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various mobile phone hardware and software issues, thereby enhancing their employability or self-employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structured training sessions on mobile phone repair techniques, covering both hardware and software components.
  • Develop and update lesson plans, training materials, and practical assignments.
  • Deliver hands-on training on dismantling, assembling, soldering, diagnosing faults, and replacing phone components.
  • Teach operating system installations, flashing, unlocking, and software troubleshooting.
  • Assess trainees’ learning progress through tests, evaluations, and practical demonstrations.
  • Maintain training equipment, tools, and ensure safety standards are followed in the workshop.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to trainees during practical sessions.
  • Prepare progress reports, attendance sheets, and performance evaluations.
  • Support the placement of successful trainees into internships or job opportunities, where applicable.
  • Stay updated with new mobile technologies and repair techniques.
  • Teach hardware diagnostics, screen replacement, battery and charging port repair.
  • Cover mobile OS issues, basic coding, and phone unlocking services.
  • Guide on setting up a repair shop, tools procurement, and customer relations.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Certificate in Mobile Phone Repair, Electronics, ICT, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mobile phone repair (hardware and software).
  • Previous experience in teaching or vocational training is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of different brands and operating systems (Android, iOS, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of training methods and adult learning principles, experience training youth and basic teaching skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Android/iOS phone hardware and software.

Language Skills

  • Fluency in Dari/ Pashto or Uzbaki language skills (writing, speaking, reading and understanding)
