Purpose of the Role
The Sky Horizon Minig company Accountant is responsible for accurate recording, maintenance, and reporting of accounting transactions for all group companies in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
1-Accounting & Bookkeeping
· Record all financial transactions for group entities in a timely and accurate manner.
· Maintain general ledger, sub-ledgers, and supporting schedules.
· Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
2- Intercompany Accounting
· Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
· Maintain intercompany documentation and support eliminations for consolidation.
3- Accounts Payable & Receivable
· Manage AP and AR records across group companies.
· Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
· Monitor aging reports and support collections and payment follow-ups.
a. Bank & Cash Accounting
· Record bank and cash transactions.
· Prepare periodic bank reconciliations for all group bank accounts.
b. Financial Reporting Support
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual entities.
· Provide accounting data and schedules for consolidated reporting.
· Support budgeting and forecasting with historical financial data.
c. Audit & Documentation
· Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents.
· Support internal and external audits.
4- Deliverables
· Accurate accounting records for all group entities
· Monthly and annual financial statements
· Intercompany reconciliation reports
· Bank reconciliation statements
· Audit schedules and supporting documents
5- Authority & Accountability
· Authorized to post accounting entries in accounting systems.
· Accountable for accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
· No authority to approve payments unless delegated.
6- Skills & Competencies
· Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
· Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· High level of integrity and confidentiality
7- Confidentiality & Ethics
The accountant shall maintain strict confidentiality of all financial information and adhere to the Group’s code of conduct, ethics, and anti-fraud policies
