About Health Efficient, Accessible, and Long-lasting Treatment at Homeland Organization (HEALTHO):

Health Efficient, Accessible, Long-Lasting and Treatment at Homeland Organization (HEALTHO) is a non-governmental, non-profit and non-political Afghan national organization established and registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2012.

The purpose of HEALTHO is to contribute to the development of Afghan society through providing health and education services, arranging capacity building programs and imparting vocational skills training, ensure food security and emergency relief assistance in times of natural or man-made calamities.

Job Descriptions:
  • Review and prepare projects progress reports for donors and HEALTO HQ office
  • Supervise all financial and general accounting, budgeting, and reporting activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy of recording all basic data for accounting purposes.
  • Ensure timely preparation and disbursement of salaries and the records in this regard are maintained properly by the concerned officer/staff.
  • Ensure that the bank reconciliation statements are prepared properly and regularly on monthly basis.
  • Check and control field staff monthly payrolls for calculation, accounting codes, tax calculation and other financial requirements.
  • Implementation of effective internal controls such as maintenance of the internal expenditures control system, financial recording/reporting system, government taxation and legal document.
  • Proper planning and expenditure tracking of financial resources and monitoring of financial delivery against work plans and preparation of relevant periodic reports.
  • financial management through finance team (Invoicing to funding sources, including calculation of completed units of service, monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization, financial performance against budget-, short- and long-term financial reporting, day to day processing of accounts receivable and payable using QuickBooks, producing reports as requested, reconciling monthly activity, generating year-end reports, and fulfilling tax related requirements).
  • Controlling & monitoring payrolls and provide proper feedback to staff.
  • Plan and conduct financial capacity building for responsible staff at country and provincial offices.
  • Responsible for front office operations and activities, this includes the switchboard, receiving/forwarding and registration of letters, mails, and pouches.
  • Receiving and attending to all visitors of HEALTHO and directing them to proper officers after enquiry of their appointment.
  • Responsible for the office notice boards, positing of information, clearing old information, proper arrangement.
  • Ensure that all administrative daily usage forms are readily available for staff use in the main office compound.
  • Keeping track of the staff timesheets for HEALTHO Program through a clean and systematic way, in which filing transparency should exist.
  • Assisting in maintaining personnel files. Ensure all relevant documents are filed for Paktika office.
  • Assisting in maintaining files for all terminated staff. Ensure that files for all terminated staff from all sites are forwarded to HEALTHO HQ.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field..
  • At least five years of experience managing development projects.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and office related computer applications.
  • Proficient in English, Dari and Pashto languages.
  • Experience of developing short-term and long-term plans, and report writing
