The project officer is responsible for handling ongoing project activities and working closely with team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and are based on project timeline.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
The major responsibilities of project officer are planning, managing, monitoring, coordination, documentation and preparing project status report from ideation through to completion of the project.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Referring any project related issues directly to project manager through any appropriate channel.
- To develop proper weekly and monthly plans for the implementation of project activities.
- Manage, monitor and evaluate implementation of the project activities in all targeted communities of targeted districts.
- Prepare regular weekly and monthly reports of the project activities and share directly with project manager in a timely manner.
- Coordination and communication with relevant stakeholders while the project manager should be in the loop.
- Attending coordination meetings arranged by line departments and share the reports with project manager.
- Ensure that all operations and implementations of the project are according to the organizational rules and policies and align with donor requirements.
- Regular monitoring of the project activities in order to track the project as per requirements and schedule.
- Raising and processing PRs and keep the records in the file.
- Providing the logbooks for NFI kits.
- Management of all distribution in all targeted districts.
- Following up any related issues regarding warehouse and receiving NFI kits with the logistic department.
- Training the staff (warehouse guards/cleaner and storekeepers)
- Ensure, proper documentation of project activities including beneficiary data (Distribution logbook, trainings lists, training database), plans, official head letters, reports, meeting minutes etc.
- Checking of beneficiaries and kobo data on daily and weekly basis.
