Afghanistan Relief and Sustainable Development Organization (ARSDO) is a national, non-profit development organization established in 2017 and registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan (Registration No. 4190). Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

To mobilize communities and raise awareness about health and psychosocial support services, ensuring active participation of community members, strengthening referral pathways, and building trustful relationships with local leaders, elders, and women groups in line with ARSDO/MoPH standards.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

·       Develop field visit plan and implemented properly

·       Visit the community and give awareness about the activities of Health Center.

·       Distribute the Dignity kit to the beneficiary and keep the record properly

·       Coordinate and build relationships with communities especially religious leaders, community elders and women about Mental health and psychosocial counselling awareness and services

·       Mobilizes communities to utilize Health Center and psychosocial counselling services.

·       Strengths referral system among community and project service delivery points

·       During fieldwork support in the identification of Mental health and psychosocial sufferer and referral to psychosocial counsellors.

·       Conducts individual or group Mental health and psychosocial counselling awareness and health education as required in Health Center.

·       Helps the Health Center in charge to prepare schedules based on ground reality to ensure the successful implementation of a plan.

·       Supports team members in developing and implementing of community-related activities

·       Performs any other official tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum completion of Grade 12; relevant education in social sciences, public health, community development, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in community mobilization, health education, or similar activities is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of the local community and languages.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with community members and health facility staff.
