The HMIS / Data Management Officer will ensure the quality, completeness, timeliness, and use of health and program data by strengthening HMIS processes, supporting health facilities and outreach teams, and contributing to evidence-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Support implementation of the national HMIS in supported health facilities and community programs.
Ensure proper use of HMIS tools, registers, reporting formats, and databases.
Provide on-the-job support and guidance to health facility staff and outreach teams on HMIS procedures.
Collect, compile, and verify routine health and program data from health facilities and outreach activities.
Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
Enter data into electronic databases (e.g., DHIS2, Excel, or organizational systems) accurately and on time.
Maintain organized and secure data files, both electronic and hard copy.
Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and performance issues.
Ensure confidentiality, data protection, and ethical use of health information.
