QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness , Agricultural economics and economics or relevant fields(s) from a recognised university
- Experience in working with stakeholders, private sectors , market actors , community-based organization and local partners
- Good analytic and problem-solving ability
- Experience of working diverse team and team building
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- At least 3 years of Demonstrated experience in implementing market -based or market systems development and value chain related food security and livelihood project activities within an NGO or development organization
- Solid experience in Value chain
- Demonstrated experience in use of participatory approaches to undertake value chain intervention , assessment and analysis with community leaders, local authorities, private and market actors and local partners
- Experience in gender and protection mainstreaming
- Strong understanding of value chain development , market linkage , income generation , local socio-economic development issues, institutions and local contexts for target communities
- Strong ability to work within team and consult with a wide range of staff colleagues.
- Flexibility and ability to manage work stress and to work under highly pressure. Able to spend 75% time in the field
- Pro-active and with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Fluency in local and Engllish languages and knowledge of cultural contexts is an advantage.
