The primary objective of the role is to provide administrative, operational, and coordination support to the account management team. The intern will assist in maintaining accurate records, preparing internal and external reports, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, and assisting with the preparation and tracking of financial documentation related to project operations.
Through these responsibilities, the intern will help ensure that operational processes are implemented efficiently and that client and internal reporting requirements are met in a timely manner. The role also aims to build the intern’s capacity by exposing them to CTG’s operational systems, workflows, and professional standards within a structured mentorship environment.
The Intern will report directly to the Senior Account Manager and will work closely with the account management team, as well as with relevant departments at headquarters, including HR, finance, and operations. The intern will operate within a collaborative team environment and will be expected to coordinate with various stakeholders to support the smooth implementation of operational tasks.
While the position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, the intern will be expected to demonstrate accountability, effective communication, and professionalism in their interactions with colleagues and stakeholders. The Senior Account Manager will provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure that the intern gains meaningful learning and professional development throughout the internship period.
The ideal candidate will be a a recent university graduate (within the past one year) or final-year university student with a strong academic background in fields such as Human Resource, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Data Analytics, Social Sciences, Political Science, or other related disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage information accurately and maintain attention to detail.
The role requires strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills. The intern should demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn, alongside a genuine interest in humanitarian and development work. Fluency in English is required to effectively support reporting and coordination activities.
