Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 3 years of proven experience in the field (maintenance, repairs, facility management, or technical support in NGO/INGO preferred).
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Maintenance, or related technical field (relevant experience accepted).
- Strong communication skills: fluent in Pashto and/or Dari (English is an advantage); proficient computing skills – word processing, spreadsheet design for maintenance logs/reports.
- Good knowledge of basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, generator/solar maintenance), safety protocols, and tool usage.
- Efficiency, result-oriented, and excellent organizational capabilities; ability of problem-solving and attention to detail; capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential issues responsibly; teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity; ability to travel throughout the province; respect the confidentiality of the organization.
Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse:
Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within YAAR and amongst beneficiaries served by YAAR.
