General Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Food Technologist to join our team for our projects. As a Food Technologist, he will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and nutritional value of the meals provided to School students. His expertise in food science, product development, and quality assurance will contribute to the success of the projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and standardize recipes for Samosas/Bread+ that are nutritious, affordable, and culturally appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards during all stages of production.
- Supervise the preparation and baking processes, including the sourcing and handling of raw materials.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections of the kitchen/baking area.
- Ensure all staff maintains proper personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Train and supervise Bakery staff or local staff on good manufacturing practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Calculate the nutritional content of each Samosas/Bread+ (calories, protein, fat, etc.).
- Ensure meals support child health and development goals.
- Supervise baking teams to ensure proper process flow.
- Monitor and control the quality of raw materials, dough, fillings, and final products.
- Set quality parameters for texture, taste, appearance, and shelf life.
- Maintain batch records and conduct spot checks during production.
- Establish quality control protocols, including sampling and testing methods.
- Maintain records and documentation of ingredients, processes, production, and feedback.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients to prevent contamination or spoilage.
- Report regularly to the project team on quality, challenges, and improvements.
