Health Care and Social Development ORG-HSDO is an Afghan a Non-Political, Non-Governmental and Non-Profit organization, established to extend developmental and humanitarian assistance to the urban and rural communities of Afghanistan through implementing various projects in several provinces of Afghanistan. It has been registered in 2008 with the Ministry of Economy (MOEc) of the Government Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIROA) with Reg # 1239. Job Descriptions:

OPD

Conduct scheduled surgical consultations in the OPD for male and pediatric patients and, where no female doctor is available, provide consultations to female patients as required.
Support general OPD consultations when needed.
Take accurate patient histories, conduct physical examinations, establish diagnoses, and develop appropriate management plans.
Prescribe treatment in accordance with approved clinical guidelines, BPHS standards, and HSDO protocols.
Provide appropriate health education, counseling, and follow-up instructions to patients and caregivers.
Refer eligible children and women to the appropriate vaccination services.
Assess and manage emergency surgical cases and arrange referral when required.

IPD

Conduct daily clinical rounds and review all admitted patients.
Perform surgical procedures in accordance with BPHS guidelines, approved clinical protocols, and professional standards.
Monitor patients before and after surgery, including follow-up in the ward and recovery room.
Monitor postoperative wound care and dressing and provide appropriate instructions to nursing staff.
Support the emergency ward and provide clinical guidance and direction to nursing staff.
Take accurate medical histories and conduct comprehensive examinations of admitted patients.
Complete and maintain all required IPD medical records, patient files, treatment plans, and clinical orders.
Document daily patient progress through accurate and timely progressive notes.
Monitor nursing care and ensure that vital signs, dressing, medication administration, and other required activities are appropriately performed.
Assess patients requiring blood transfusion and prescribe transfusion when clinically indicated, in accordance with approved protocols.
Participate in the daily morning report and clinical coordination meetings.
Perform night duty and remain available for on-call responsibilities according to the approved duty roster.
Ensure timely referral of patients requiring services beyond the facility's capacity.

Others

Comply with HSDO policies, procedures, clinical protocols, code of conduct, and applicable donor requirements.
Prepare and submit required monthly medical and service reports to the HMIS Department through the established reporting system.
Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
Participate in trainings, meetings, workshops, and other capacity-building activities as requested by HSDO.
Coordinate effectively with medical, nursing, pharmacy, laboratory, HMIS, and other relevant departments to ensure quality patient care.
Support quality improvement, infection prevention and control, patient safety, and adherence to clinical standards.

Job Requirements:

Medical degree (MD) or equivalent from a recognized and accredited medical faculty, with specialization in General Surgery.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in General Surgery is required.

HSDO PSEA Committee need to decide whether the complaint should be directed to a different office within the organization, or to a different organization altogether. For example, complaints alleging economic impact as a result of corrupt procurement procedures may need to be referred immediately to the organization’s own internal audit department, and/or to an external anti-corruption office. Eligibility is often determined on the basis of four broad criteria:

Does the complaint indicate that the program has caused a negative economic, social, or environmental impact on the complainant, or has the potential to cause such an impact?
Does the complaint specify what kind of impact has occurred or may occur, and how the program has caused or may cause that impact?
Does the complaint indicate that those filing the complaint are the ones who have been impacted, or are at risk of being impacted; or that those filing the complaint are representing the impacted or potentially impacted beneficiaries at their request?
Does the complaint provide enough information for PSEA Committee to make a determination on the first three questions?
