Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose
The Tailoring Trainer will provide practical tailoring and garment-making training to project beneficiaries, enabling them to develop marketable skills, improve product quality, and establish or strengthen household-level income-generating activities.

Key Responsibilities

prepare curriculum for the training.
Conduct theoretical and practical tailoring training according to the approved curriculum and training plan.
Train beneficiaries on proper use, operation, and basic maintenance of sewing machines and tailoring tools.
Teach accurate body measurement, pattern making, fabric cutting, stitching, and garment finishing.
Train beneficiaries in producing locally demanded women’s, men’s, and children’s garments, as appropriate.
Introduce different sewing techniques, designs, and quality finishing methods.
Ensure proper and safe use of sewing machines, irons, scissors, and other equipment.
Support beneficiaries in improving product quality, design, accuracy, and productivity.
Provide basic guidance on fabric selection, material calculation, costing, pricing, and marketing.
Prepare lesson plans and organize required training materials and equipment.
Maintain beneficiary attendance and training records.
Assess beneficiaries’ practical skills and provide continuous coaching and technical support.
Submit regular training progress and activity reports.
Perform other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

12th Graduate, Bachelor's Degree is preferred , vocational certificate, or recognized training in tailoring, garment making, or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant tailoring and/or vocational training experience.
Strong practical knowledge of sewing machines, measurement, cutting, stitching, pattern making, and garment finishing.
Good training, facilitation, and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of costing, pricing, and local market requirements.
Good command of local languages.
Proficiency in English, with good speaking, writing, and reporting skills.
