Job Descriptions:

Responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to workers, including the assessment and treatment of illnesses, minor injuries, and occupational health conditions. The doctor provides immediate medical response during emergencies such as accidents, falls, fractures, burns, electrical injuries, and heat-related illnesses, and arranges referral or transfer to hospitals when necessary. Responsibilities also include conducting pre-employment and periodic medical examinations, assessing workers’ fitness for duty, monitoring occupational health hazards, maintaining medical records, supervising the site clinic and medical supplies, and providing health education on hygiene, hydration, heat stress, PPE, and disease prevention. The doctor works closely with the HSE team to support workplace health and safety programs, participate in accident investigations, conduct health surveillance, and recommend measures to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.

Job Requirements:

The candidate must hold a recognized Medical Doctor (MD/MBBS or equivalent) degree and a valid medical license/registration to practice in the relevant country. Previous experience as a General Physician, preferably in a construction, industrial, occupational health, or remote-site environment, is highly desirable. The candidate should have strong knowledge of emergency medicine, occupational health, first aid, workplace injuries, and common construction-site health hazards. The doctor must be capable of responding effectively to medical emergencies, assessing fitness for work, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating referrals and emergency evacuations. Good communication, interpersonal, decision-making, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and in challenging site conditions. Familiarity with HSE procedures, occupational health standards, and workplace health and safety requirements is an advantage. Fluency in the required site languages and basic computer skills for medical documentation and reporting are also preferred.
