Job Descriptions:

The Proofreader ensures final translated documents are error-free, consistent, and ready for publication. The role focuses on grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and typographical accuracy.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proofread translated documents in English, Dari, and Pashto.
  • Identify and correct grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and typographical errors.
  • Ensure consistency in terminology, formatting, and style.
  • Verify completeness of translated content including tables, captions, and annexes.
  • Work closely with translators and editors to resolve issues.
  • Ensure final documents meet organizational quality standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all materials
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Linguistics, Literature, Translation, or related field.
  • Valid TOEFL/IELTS certification.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 8 years proofreading experience.
  • Experience with technical, humanitarian, and communication materials.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent command of English, Dari, and Pashto.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
