Job Descriptions:

The Editor ensures that translated materials are polished, accurate, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards. The role focuses on refining language, improving clarity, and ensuring technical correctness.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Edit translated documents in English, Dari, and Pashto for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
  • Ensure technical terminology, tone, and meaning are preserved.
  • Review formatting, structure, tables, captions, and layout for correctness.
  • Ensure cultural appropriateness and readability for target audiences.
  • Collaborate with translators and proofreaders to resolve linguistic or technical issues.
  • Support development of terminology lists and glossaries.
  • Ensure all edited documents undergo internal quality control.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of all materials.
Job Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Linguistics, Literature, Journalism, or related field.
  • Valid TOEFL/IELTS certification.
  • Excellent editing skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10 years professional editing experience.
  • Experience editing technical, humanitarian, legal, and communication materials.
