About Organization for Afghan Women Capacity and Knowledge:

Organization for Afghan Women Capacity and Knowledge (OAWCK) is an Afghan, independent, nonpolitical, nonsectarian, nonprofit organization, created at the initiative of a group of Afghans in 2009. It has been registered under # 1888 with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Women Affairs as well as local provincial governments – as well as member of ACBAR, AICS certified, and AHF verified partner. The organization was initially involved in to improve the capacity of afghan women, ending violence against women and developing awareness of society regarding women and children rights, health, gender equality, sexual and reproductive health, ending violence against child, ending child labor, decreasing mental and economical press of Afghan women caused by Violence, War and Poverty and active participation of women in civil society activists, Election and self/right Defense.

Job Descriptions:

Monitoring and Data Management

  • Establish and maintain project monitoring and reporting systems in accordance with UNESCO requirements.
  • Develop and maintain updated databases for learners, facilitators, Village Skills Committees (VSCs), classes, and project activities.
  • Monitor project progress against approved targets, indicators, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection, verification, compilation, and analysis of project data.
  • Track project achievements and identify gaps in implementation and performance.
  • Support the Project Officer in monitoring overall project progress and results.

Learner Registration and Database Management

  • Lead learner registration processes using UNESCO-approved registration systems and tools.
  • Ensure all enrolled learners are registered and verified prior to commencement of classes.
  • Verify compliance with project targeting requirements, including participation of women, returnees, and other vulnerable groups.
  • Maintain updated records of learners, facilitators, classes, VSC members, and project beneficiaries.
  • Ensure secure storage and confidentiality of beneficiary information.

Kobo and Digital Data Collection Systems

  • Manage Kobo Toolbox and other digital data collection platforms used by the project.
  • Configure, test, deploy, and update digital forms as required.
  • Train project staff on the use of digital data collection tools and reporting systems.
  • Monitor data submissions and follow up on incomplete or missing records.
  • Generate routine summaries and reports from Kobo and other project databases.

Monitoring of Project Activities

  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits to project communities and learning sites.
  • Verify the establishment and functionality of SDL classes.
  • Monitor literacy, vocational skills, parenting education, and psychosocial support activities.
  • Verify learner attendance, facilitator attendance, and implementation of approved class schedules.
  • Monitor the quality of project implementation and identify areas requiring corrective action.
  • Follow up on recommendations arising from monitoring visits.

Monitoring of Learning Assessments

  • Support implementation of learner assessments, including diagnostic, formative, midline, and endline assessments.
  • Compile and analyze assessment results.
  • Monitor learner attendance, retention, completion, and graduation rates.
  • Support facilitators and project staff in maintaining assessment records.
  • Produce summaries of learner performance and progress.

Data Quality Assurance

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of project records and reports.
  • Conduct routine data quality checks and spot verifications.
  • Review attendance sheets, registration forms, assessment records, distribution lists, and monitoring reports.
  • Ensure consistency between source documents and reported achievements.
  • Support project staff in addressing data quality issues.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for monitoring and verification purposes.

Monitoring of Project Distributions

  • Monitor the distribution of classroom kits, teaching and learning materials, vocational toolkits, parenting education materials, hygiene kits, and other project supplies.
  • Verify beneficiary receipt and utilization of distributed items.
  • Conduct spot checks to validate distribution records.
  • Maintain records of project distributions and related documentation.

Monitoring of Parenting Education and Psychosocial Support Activities

  • Monitor implementation of Parenting Education sessions and participant attendance.
  • Verify distribution of Parenting Education materials.
  • Monitor psychosocial support activities conducted by Lay Counsellors.
  • Track referrals and follow-up actions related to psychosocial support services.
  • Ensure relevant project indicators related to Parenting Education and PSS are accurately captured and reported.

Reporting

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and final monitoring reports.
  • Compile monitoring information received from PCMs, DCMs, Facilitators, Master Trainers, and Lay Counsellors.
  • Produce statistical summaries and progress updates for project management.
  • Support preparation of reports required by UNESCO.
  • Ensure timely submission of all monitoring reports and supporting documentation.

Documentation and Knowledge Management

  • Collect and document project success stories, lessons learned, photographs, and case studies.
  • Support the preparation of project factsheets, presentations, and summaries.
  • Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy monitoring records.
  • Ensure that project documentation is readily available for review, monitoring, and audit purposes.

Support to Monitoring Missions and Audits

  • Facilitate UNESCO monitoring visits and verification exercises.
  • Support external assessments, evaluations, and audits.
  • Prepare and organize project records and supporting documents for review.
  • Respond to requests for monitoring information and evidence.
  • Follow up on recommendations arising from monitoring visits and audits.

Accountability and Compliance

  • Support implementation of beneficiary feedback and complaints mechanisms.
  • Maintain records of complaints, feedback, and actions taken.
  • Ensure monitoring activities comply with safeguarding, PSEA, and data protection requirements.
  • Promote ethical and confidential management of beneficiary information.
  • Immediately report any safeguarding concerns identified during monitoring activities to the Project Officer.
Job Requirements:

·   Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Social Sciences, Education, Information Management, Development Studies, or a related field.

·       Minimum three (3) years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data management, information management, or related fields.

·       Demonstrated experience using Kobo Toolbox or similar digital data collection platforms.

·       Experience supporting education, literacy, skills development, community development, or humanitarian programmes.

·       Strong analytical, reporting, and database management skills.

·       Experience conducting field monitoring and data verification exercises.

·       Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and database applications.

·       Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto (written and spoken).

·       Working knowledge of English is desirable.
