About Accessbility Organization for Afghan Disabled (AOAD):

AOAD (Accessibility Organization for Afghan Disabled) is a national disability-led organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under license number 956. The organization works to advocate for the rights and meaningful inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society. AOAD promotes equal access to health, education, social services, and community participation, and supports initiatives that strengthen the dignity, empowerment, and well-being of persons with disabilities across Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Roles and Responsibilities

· Repair, build, and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear

· Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements, and plaster casts

· Design, build, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic appliances

· Examine and measure patients to develop working sketches of appliances

· Take body or limb measurements of patients

· Make and modify plaster casts

· Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment

· Any other project-related task assigned by the project supervisor.

Confidentiality

· He/she makes sure that all intellectual properties of AOAD and all other information related to the project or organization is confidential and is not shared or spread it up to non-relevant staff or outsiders. 

· He should not share any AOAD Official format in soft or hard to with outsiders (Non-Organization Staff).

Security:

· The staff makes sure that all security policy and procedures set by the organization is considered well and followed during the times he/she is working. S/he is responsible for his/her security during official times either at the campus or in mission if policies are not followed.

· Safety

· He is responsible for the safety of all AOADs and project assets delivered to her/him. S/he must ensure that all safety measurements are taken for any assets she/he is responsible for and consider AOAD’s asset safety policy.

Job Requirements:

A. A 3 year Degree or Diploma in prosthesis and Orthosis field.

B. Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience, particularly in the field of Prosthesis and Orthosis with INGOs, public hospitals or other prominent organization.

C. Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken, other local languages will be an asset,

D. Experience in staff management, public outreach, and coordination with stakeholders.

E. Strong Command of Pashto/Dari

F. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-ethnic team and take on diverse tasks.

G. Working experience in the targeted provinces and familiar with the concerned community, geography, and culture.  

H. Team worker, Analytical and Troubleshooting skills

I. Honest, proactive, and well-mannered.

J. To be an Afghan National.
