Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspection & Monitoring
- Conduct regular site inspections of all construction activities (earthworks, subgrade, sub-base, base course, asphalt works, drainage, and structures)
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
- Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented
2. Material Testing & Control
- Supervise and verify field and laboratory testing of construction materials (soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete)
- Ensure materials meet project specifications and standards
- Maintain proper records of all test results
3. QA/QC Procedures Implementation
- Implement project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plans
- Ensure compliance with standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, or local standards
- Monitor adherence to method statements and inspection test plans (ITPs)
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily quality inspection reports and records
- Prepare test reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action reports
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate and up to date
5. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with site engineers, lab technicians, and contractors
- Liaise with consultants and client representatives during inspections
- Support audits and quality reviews
6. Calibration & Equipment Control
- Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
- Maintain calibration records and logs
7. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all work complies with contract specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement in quality processes
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of laboratory and field testing procedures (CBR, compaction, asphalt testing, concrete testing)
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office
Languages
- Basic English required (for reporting and documentation)
- Fluent in Local language
Working Conditions
- Site-based role with continuous field presence
- Exposure to outdoor and construction site conditions
- May require extended working hours depending on project needs
