The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of ASLO projects at the provincial level. The position will ensure that all project activities are implemented efficiently, effectively, and in full compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and national standards.
The Project Manager will provide technical leadership, operational oversight, and coordination with government authorities, community structures, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.
3. Key Duties and Responsibilities
3.1 Project Planning and Implementation
Lead the planning, implementation, and management of assigned projects in the province.
Develop detailed project implementation plans, work plans, and activity schedules aligned with project objectives.
Ensure that project activities are implemented on time, within scope, and within budget.
Ensure effective coordination with sector teams including education, health, agriculture, WASH, and livelihood units.
Ensure all project interventions comply with donor guidelines, national policies, and ASLO operational standards.
3.2 Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with provincial government authorities, line departments, NGOs, and community leaders.
Represent ASLO in provincial coordination meetings, clusters, technical working groups, and sector forums.
Facilitate collaboration between community structures, local authorities, and project teams.
Promote community participation and ownership of project activities.
3.3 Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
Monitor project progress against approved indicators, targets, and timelines.
Ensure effective data collection, documentation, and reporting of project results.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and final project reports in accordance with donor requirements.
Identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions to ensure project effectiveness.
Support internal and external project evaluations and audits.
3.4 Financial and Resource Management
Oversee the proper management of project budgets and expenditures in coordination with the finance department.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, procurement procedures, and donor regulations.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Support procurement planning and ensure timely availability of project materials and services.
3.5 Team Leadership and Staff Management
Supervise project staff and field teams at the provincial level.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and capacity building to project staff.
Ensure effective staff performance management, supervision, and accountability.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
3.6 Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensure that project activities meet technical quality standards and donor expectations.
Conduct regular field visits and supervision missions to monitor project performance.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, protection principles, gender equality, and accountability to affected populations (AAP).
Promote transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct in all project operations.
