Kanda Fruits Process Company (Kanda Fruit) is one of the largest fruits and vegetable processing and packaging private limited organizations, in Afghanistan. Job Descriptions:

Position Summary The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with internal controls, timely reporting, and effective supervision of site finance staff. The position requires strong technical knowledge of accounting systems, particularly QuickBooks, and the ability to support management with reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilities 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. Record all financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks on a daily basis. Prepare and post monthly adjusting journal entries for Kabul office and all site offices. Record and verify payments through vouchers in accordance with approved procedures. Review and check financial documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. Prepare daily cash reports for head office and sites, including cash closing. Review daily records of cash received and cash payments from all sites. Perform monthly reconciliation of invoices recorded in QuickBooks with fumigation and laboratory software systems. Reconcile general ledger accounts, including vendor and customer ledgers. Review and analyze monthly aging reports for accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prepare and submit financial position reports to management on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Supervise and provide technical guidance to Site Finance Officers in all finance-related areas. Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures. Support audits and management reviews by providing required financial data and explanations.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) with specialization in Finance or Accounting. • Strong practical knowledge and hands-on experience with QuickBooks. • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. • Excellent typing skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong written communication skills in national languages and English. • Basic knowledge of management and supervisory practices. • Proven experience working with private sector organizations. • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively. • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
