Job Descriptions:

Implement and monitor Health, Safety, Environmental, and Social (HSES/ESHS) requirements on construction sites
Conduct and implement Environmental, Social, Health and Safety (ESHS) screening for project activities
Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP)
Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for site staff and workers
Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety regulations
Identify site hazards, conduct risk assessments, and recommend mitigation measures
Record, investigate, and report incidents, accidents, and near-misses
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly ESHS and safety reports
Ensure compliance with national regulations, donor requirements, and international ESHS standards

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Social Science, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety / ESHS Officer in construction projects
Proven experience in ESHS screening and ESMP implementation is mandatory
Experience in donor-funded projects is an advantage
HSE / OHS / NEBOSH certification is an advantage
English language proficiency (spoken and written) is mandatory
Strong reporting and communication skills
