Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced NRM/Horticulturist and Livelihood Specialist to support the planning and implementation of project activities. The specialist will assess community needs and local natural resources, provide technical guidance on horticulture and sustainable agriculture, and help design and supervise livelihood interventions. They will work closely with communities, local stakeholders, and project staff to promote climate-smart practices, improve the sustainable use of land and water, strengthen household livelihoods, and monitor the quality and progress of activities.

Job Requirements:

· Develop and implement natural resource management, horticulture, and livelihood plans based on community needs and local conditions.

· Assess soil, water, land use, and existing livelihood activities, and recommend practical improvements.

· Support communities to establish and maintain gardens, nurseries, orchards, and other horticultural activities.

· Provide technical guidance on crop selection, planting, irrigation, soil fertility, pest management, and post-harvest handling.

· Promote sustainable practices, including soil and water conservation, climate-smart agriculture, and responsible use of natural resources.

· Identify livelihood opportunities and help design activities that strengthen household income and food security.

· Deliver training and practical demonstrations for community members, project staff, and local partners.

· Coordinate with community groups, government agencies, and other stakeholders to implement project activities.

· Monitor activity progress and outcomes, identify challenges, and recommend appropriate adjustments.

· Maintain accurate records of trainings, beneficiaries, inputs, field visits, and project results.

· Prepare regular reports and other documentation related to horticulture, natural resource management, and livelihoods.

· Any other tasks assigned to him by senior management.
