Job Descriptions:

Purpose of the Position:

The Laboratory Technician to support with laboratory examinations for patients’ diagnosis. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the ongoing improvement in quality of care, education and administration within the department.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

Clinical responsibilities

Understand and apply to the laboratory all Cure hospital and MOPH standards of care
Inform medical staff of any changes to procedures and functions of the laboratory.
Monitor progress of the laboratory with respect to services provided, complaints by patients and coordination with medical staff
Develop and maintain a quality improvement process for the laboratory.
Attend weekly didactic and practical training for laboratory personnel.
Register patient and collect the samples.
Regularly monitor, evaluate and appraise the laboratory Machine.

2. Administration

Maintain accurate monthly records.

3. Human Resources / Direct Supervision

Maintain appropriate discipline in the department.

Job Requirements:

1.Special Requirements of the Post:

Graduated from approved Medical Institute, certified by Afghanistan MoPH or MOHE
Honesty and professionalism in all dealings with patients and their relatives.
Adherence to the core values of Cure Hospital.
At least three years’ experience in management of a laboratory.
Able to admit own mistakes, take charge and work well in a team.
Liaise with senior management.
Flexibility and willingness to take on other tasks as delegated by the Clinical Services Manager.
Fluent in spoken and written Dari and Pashto
Prefer to be good in English

The Employees must:

· Follow Cure Hospital and Be Team International (BTI) policies, including safeguarding and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse)

· Maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect toward patients and staff

· Avoid harassment, discrimination, or misuse of authority

Violations may lead to disciplinary action or immediate termination.

3. Working Environment

Working hours will be 7:30 am – 4pm Sunday through Thursday.
May be required to work during the evening and at weekends.
Cure Hospital staffing policy will be applied.
