The General Manager will have overall responsibility for the management, performance, coordination, and continuous development of the pharmaceutical factory. The position will oversee and coordinate Production, QA, QC, Engineering & Maintenance, Warehouse & Supply Chain, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, HR, Administration, Finance, and other operational functions.
The successful candidate will ensure that all operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in accordance with GMP, regulatory requirements, company policies, approved procedures, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the pharmaceutical factory.
- Plan, organize, supervise, and monitor overall factory operations and performance.
- Ensure manufacturing activities comply with GMP, approved procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS).
- Coordinate Production, QA, QC, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, HR, Administration, and Finance.
- Monitor production capacity, productivity, efficiency, quality, costs, budgets, and resource utilization.
- Ensure adequate availability and proper management of raw materials, packaging materials, equipment, utilities, manpower, and other operational resources.
- Ensure effective systems for SOPs, documentation, training, validation, qualification, calibration, preventive maintenance, and change control.
- Ensure appropriate management and investigation of deviations, CAPA, non-conformities, complaints, recalls, and quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, segregation, and control of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable requirements of national regulatory authorities and support regulatory/GMP inspections and audits.
- Promote appropriate health, safety, hygiene, sanitation, and environmental practices throughout the factory.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and ensure departments achieve approved targets and objectives.
- Lead recruitment, development, training, performance management, and succession planning for key personnel.
- Identify operational risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, teamwork, discipline, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular operational and management reports to the Board of Directors / Company Leadership.
- Participate in decisions regarding factory expansion, new products, technologies, equipment, production lines, and operational improvements.
- Ensure responsible and efficient use of company assets and resources.
- Perform other senior management duties assigned by the Board of Directors.
