Monitor and patrol the assigned BHC/Health Facility premises to ensure the safety and security of the facility, staff, patients, visitors, and assets.

Perform day and night security duties according to the duty roster and schedule assigned by the Line Manager.

Regularly patrol the facility premises and surrounding areas during duty hours and remain alert to potential security risks, incidents, and suspicious activities.

Inspect the facility at the beginning of each shift and provide a proper handover to the incoming guard, including any incidents, concerns, or pending issues. Maintain a security logbook to record incidents, observations, and other important information.

Ensure that all doors, windows, gates, and other access points are properly secured and locked when required.

Control access to the facility by preventing unauthorized persons from entering and ensuring that restricted areas are accessed only by authorized personnel.

Welcome and treat all clients/patients, visitors, community members, and staff with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.

Distribute tokens to patients and visitors as required and guide them to the appropriate service areas, providing basic directions to help them access the required health services.

Support the orderly movement and flow of patients and visitors within the health facility, particularly during busy periods, while following the instructions of health facility staff.

Immediately report any security incident, suspicious activity, theft, damage, unauthorized access, or other security concern to the Line Manager, Logistician, or Security Focal Point.

In case of an emergency, immediately notify the responsible person and take appropriate action in accordance with established emergency procedures.

Do not allow suspicious packages, materials, or unauthorized items into the facility and immediately report any such case to the responsible person.

Monitor and protect health facility equipment, furniture, medical supplies, medicines, and other assets against loss, damage, theft, or unauthorized removal.

Regularly check facility gates and access points and ensure they remain properly controlled during and after working hours.

Regularly check and monitor the facility's electrical system, including lights, switches, sockets, and other electrical equipment, and immediately report any fault, damage, or malfunction to the responsible person.

Check and monitor the vaccine refrigerator and related power supply, as applicable, and immediately report any malfunction or technical concern to the responsible staff.

Check the fuel/gas supply, water pump, water tank, gas cylinders, and kitchen stove, where applicable, and promptly report any fault, damage, leakage, or malfunction to the Line Manager or responsible staff.

Monitor the functionality of the facility's electricity and water supply systems and ensure that the water tank has an adequate supply. Report any technical or operational problem to the Logistician or responsible staff.

Support basic cleanliness and maintenance of the facility surroundings, including the yard and compound, as assigned.

For day-shift guards, support the watering and basic care of the facility garden, where applicable.

Remove snow from the roof and facility surroundings during winter when required, provided that it can be done safely and in accordance with applicable safety procedures.

Assist facility staff with loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials when requested and appropriate.

Ensure that office/health facility equipment, furniture, supplies, and other items remain in their designated places.

Provide reasonable assistance to staff responsible for facility maintenance, within the scope of assigned duties.

Maintain appropriate sanitation, cleanliness, health, and safety standards within the assigned work area.

Take reasonable care to prevent damage, breakage, loss, or misuse of facility property and immediately report any damage or loss to the responsible person.

Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance while on duty.

Remain at the assigned duty station during working hours and do not leave the duty post without informing and obtaining approval from the Line Manager or responsible person.

Sleeping during duty hours is strictly prohibited. The Security Guard must remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift and conduct regular patrols as assigned.

Maintain continuous awareness of the security situation within and around the health facility and immediately report any incident, suspicious activity, security threat, or other concern through the established reporting line.

Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Line Manager in accordance with Tdh policies, procedures, and security requirements.
