5. Application as Mahram Couples
Recognizing the cultural and access requirements of fieldwork in Afghanistan — particularly the need for female enumerators to reach female respondents — BFCS welcomes applications from Mahram couples (i.e., legally and religiously recognized spouses, or other Mahram relations as defined under applicable cultural and religious norms) who wish to be deployed jointly as a male-female enumerator pair for the same assignment. When applying as a couple:
• Select "Mahram Couple" on the online application form and provide both applicants' details in the same submission, indicating the relationship between them.
• Each individual must independently meet the minimum qualifications listed in Section 4.
• Documentation confirming the Mahram relationship may be requested during screening.
Individual applicants (not applying as a couple) are equally welcome and will be considered on the same basis.
6. How to Apply
Interested candidates must apply through the BFCS online application form: Link.
The form will require applicants to:
• Select their application type — Individual or Mahram Couple.
• Provide their personal details, province/district of residence, and relevant experience.
• Upload their CV/resume.
• Upload a copy of their national ID (Tazkira) or valid identification document.
• For Mahram couple applications: both applicants' details, with the relationship indicated, submitted through the same form entry.
