CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process of staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
We are seeking a motivated Software Development Intern to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals beginning their career in software development to gain practical, hands-on experience in application development, understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and contribute to real-world projects.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Under the overall guidance of the IT Coordinator – Application Development & Enterprise Solutions, the Intern will be involved in the following key tasks to
learn, practice, and perform:
• Assist in designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining software applications.
• Contribute to front-end design and user interface development, ensuring a user-friendly experience.
• Collaborate with the development team to implement features and fixes.
• Participate in the full SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable code and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
• Learn and apply coding best practices, development tools, and agile methodologies.
• Support knowledge transfer within the team.
