MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Supervises compliance with AKHS, A policies, procedures, regulatory bodies and ISO standards to maintain quality and accountability.
Secures availability of materials and resources for Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Biomedical services across health facilities.
Supports procurement activities, ensuring adherence to defined policies and guidelines.
Supervises maintenance of medical and non‑medical equipment, assets and renovation projects to ensure operational readiness.
Ensures proper functioning of electrical systems including generators, solar installations, switchgears, cables and fixtures.
Supervises mechanical systems such as plumbing, air‑conditioning and appliances to maintain efficiency.
Ensures biomedical equipment operates effectively and reliably in all facilities.
Schedules inspections of firefighting systems, electrical networks and engineering equipment to safeguard safety standards.
Sets safe switching procedures for grid and generator operations, ensuring continuity of power supply.
Safeguards compliance with safety protocols across electrical, mechanical and biomedical work.
Supervises generator operations, UPS/DC systems and automatic transfer switches to guarantee uninterrupted services.
Secures spare parts and manages inventory for engineering and medical equipment.
Supports asset management, prepares maintenance budgets and maintains office records for accountability.
Supervises training for technical staff, doctors and nurses on safe and effective equipment use.
Submits regular reports to project leads and NPO Head of Engineering for oversight and decision‑making.
Supervises electricians and assistants to carry out preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance.
Serves on regular on‑call duty to respond to urgent technical issues.
Supports planning and execution of small engineering projects, upgrades and renovations.
Executes additional tasks within expertise as required by supervisors.
Solar Installations and Medical Equipment
Supervises solar sites, ensuring proper operation, efficiency and alignment with Net‑Zero initiatives.
Schedules daily solar maintenance, identifies irregularities and prepares inspection reports.
Secures cleanliness and upkeep of solar panels, maintaining accurate logs and records.
Studies schematics and executes PV system installation and maintenance per international standards.
Supports generator maintenance, supervises technicians during troubleshooting and monitors fuel systems.
Supervises medical equipment maintenance, preventive visits and troubleshooting across facilities.
Supports training of clinical staff on medical equipment operation and safety.
Secures spare parts for regular medical equipment maintenance.
Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
