The Agriculture Master Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality agricultural training to farmers, demonstrating best agricultural practices, and supporting the adoption of improved farming methods linked to irrigated agriculture and climate-smart farming.
2. Objective
To provide technical expertise and training to farmers and field staff on modern agricultural techniques, crop management, irrigation water management, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and sustainable farming practices, ensuring improved productivity and livelihood outcomes.
3. Key Responsibilities
Training Design and Delivery
- Design and deliver irrigation-aligned training programs for farmers, men, on modern agricultural practices.
- Conduct practical, field-based demonstrations on:
- Irrigated agronomy and crop production.
- Orchard establishment and management.
- Irrigation water scheduling and efficient water use.
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM) under irrigated systems.
- Basic user-level irrigation operation and maintenance.
- Climate-resilient agricultural practices.
- Develop training manuals, visual aids, and demonstration materials in Dari and Pashto.
Training of Trainers (ToT) and Coaching
- Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) for field facilitators and lead farmers.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to field staff and community facilitators.
- Support peer-learning sessions among farmers to reinforce the adoption of improved agricultural practices.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor and evaluate farmers' adoption of recommended agricultural practices.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess progress and provide technical guidance.
- Support post-distribution monitoring of agricultural inputs in coordination with project staff.
Coordination and Reporting
- Coordinate with project management, Community Mobilizers, and the SME/Grants Officer to ensure training activities align with project objectives.
- Prepare training schedules, attendance records, assessment reports, and monthly progress reports.
- Contribute to quarterly project reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or project management.

- Training schedules and session plans.
- Training materials, manuals, and demonstration kits in local languages.
- Gender-disaggregated training attendance sheets.
- Pre- and post-training assessment reports.
- Field visit reports and farmer performance records.
