Job Summary
The Head of Stomatology is responsible for managing all clinical and administrative functions of the dental department, ensuring high standards in oral health care, patient safety, and service efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Oversight
- Supervise diagnosis and treatment of oral and dental conditions
- Oversee procedures such as extractions, restorations, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
- Manage complex and interdisciplinary cases
2. Department Management
- Plan and organize dental services and schedules
- Develop clinical protocols and SOPs
- Ensure availability and maintenance of dental equipment and materials
3. Staff Leadership
- Supervise dentists, dental assistants, hygienists, and technicians
- Conduct performance evaluations
- Provide continuous training and development
4. Quality Assurance & Infection Control
- Ensure strict sterilization and infection control practices
- Monitor clinical quality indicators and patient safety
- Ensure compliance with health regulations
5. Patient Care & Experience
- Ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction
- Address patient complaints and feedback
6. Collaboration & Integration
- Coordinate with other departments (ENT, surgery, oncology, etc.)
- Participate in hospital planning and decision-making
