JOB SUMMARY

The TOEFL Trainer at Muslim English Language Institute (MELI) will prepare students for the TOEFL iBT exam through effective instruction in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. The trainer will deliver student-centered lessons, conduct assessments and mock tests, and support students in achieving their target TOEFL scores.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver TOEFL iBT preparation classes for all four skills.

• Assess student performance and provide academic feedback.

• Conduct quizzes, mock tests, and progress evaluations.

• Teach TOEFL strategies using modern teaching methods and official resources.

• Evaluate Speaking and Writing tasks using TOEFL rubrics.

• Maintain a professional and academically focused classroom environment.

• Use classroom technology and testing systems effectively.

• Stay updated on the latest TOEFL iBT format and ETS updates.

• Coordinate with MELI academic staff and comply with institutional policies.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Academic Manager.

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of TOEFL teaching experience.

• Strong knowledge of the latest TOEFL iBT format and scoring system.

• Ability to teach Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing effectively.

• Familiarity with official ETS TOEFL materials and preparation resources.

• Excellent English communication and classroom management skills.

• Proficiency in Dari and Pashto.

• Preferred: Valid recent TOEFL iBT score or demonstrated TOEFL proficiency.

• Preferred: Experience with CEFR-aligned or standardized test preparation programs.
