The Logistics & Supply Officer is responsible for efficient implementation of logistics, procurement, fleet, asset, and warehouse management activities at base level, ensuring compliance with INTERSOS procedures and donor requirements.
3. Key Responsibilities
3.1 Procurement & Supply Chain
Ensure procurement procedures are implemented according to INTERSOS guidelines
Prepare and follow-up Purchase Requests (PRs)
Conduct market assessments and supplier mapping
Prepare RFQs and support evaluation processes
Ensure complete and audit-compliant procurement files
Monitor supplier performance and delivery timelines
3.2 Fleet Management
Manage all vehicles assigned to the base with coordination with the fleet officer
Monitor vehicle movements and logbooks
Ensure preventive maintenance
Monitor fuel consumption
Ensure driver compliance with safety rules
3.3 Warehouse & Stock Management
Ensure proper storage conditions
Supervise stock movements (GRN, waybills, stock cards)
Conduct inventories and reconciliations
Track consumables and supplies
3.4 Asset Management
Maintain asset register
Ensure assets are tagged and tracked
Conduct asset verification
Support disposal processes
3.5 Facility Management
Ensure maintenance of office and guesthouse
Supervise minor works
Monitor utilities and services
3.6 Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with procedures
Maintain filing systems
