Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

The project aims to support vulnerable populations by improving their psychosocial well-being and resilience, enabling meaningful participation in livelihood and income-generating activities. The intervention integrates psychosocial support (PSS) with skills development, literacy, and community-based engagement.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The Psychosocial Trainer is responsible for delivering structured psychosocial support sessions to beneficiaries, enhancing emotional well-being, coping mechanisms, and social functioning.

  • Design and deliver psychosocial support (PSS) sessions using approved curricula and guidelines.
  • Facilitate group and individual sessions focusing on stress management, emotional regulation, and resilience-building.
  • Apply participatory, culturally appropriate, and gender-sensitive approaches.
  • Integrate PSS into livelihood, literacy, and vocational training components where applicable.
  • Identify individuals with severe psychosocial or mental health needs and refer them to specialized services.
  • Develop session plans, training materials, and practical exercises.
  • Monitor participants’ progress and well-being through appropriate tools and observation.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, case notes, and reporting documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with protection, livelihood, and M&E teams for integrated service delivery.
  • Ensure confidentiality, dignity, and respect in all interactions with beneficiaries.

Deliverables:

  • Session plans and training schedules.
  • Monthly progress and PSS activity reports.
  • Attendance sheets and participant tracking records.
  • Referral records for specialized services (if applicable).
  • Final report summarizing outcomes, challenges, and recommendations
Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in psychosocial support, counseling, or mental health programs.
  • Experience with NGOs, humanitarian or community-based programs preferred.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of basic mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) principles.
  • Familiarity with referral pathways and protection principles.
