Position Overview:
The Senior HR Assistant will support recruitment processes, including preparation of ToRs, vacancy announcements, shortlisting, and interview coordination, ensuring transparency and proper documentation. The role will manage HR administration, including maintaining personnel files, preparing contracts and amendments, and tracking attendance, leave, and timesheets to ensure audit-ready records. The position will also coordinate with the finance department on payroll to ensure salaries and benefits are processed in line with contracts and donor requirements.
In addition, the role will support performance management, staff appraisals, and proper documentation of evaluations, while ensuring compliance with WHLO policies, Afghan labor law, and donor regulations. The Senior HR Assistant will contribute to the implementation of safeguarding, PSEA, and code of conduct policies, act as a focal point for HR-related issues, support onboarding of new staff, and coordinate HR processes with field teams. The role will also assist in organizing HR-related trainings and maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity at all times
