Senior Finance Officer is responsible not only for handling finance operations but also for leading the finance function, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decisions within the based duty station and HO.
Key Responsibilities
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets
- Monitor budget utilization and control costs
- Develop financial forecasts and projections
- Recommend cost-saving measures
3. Accounting Oversight
- Supervise daily accounting activities (AP/AR, general ledger)
- Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Ensure sufficient funds for operations
- Oversee bank transactions and reconciliations
- Manage payments, collections, and liquidity

8. Strategic Support
- Assist senior management in financial planning and strategy
- Conduct financial analysis for new projects or investments
- Support business growth and profitability initiatives
