The Business Development -Marketing & Branding Specialist is responsible for leading marketing and branding innovative to increase the visibility, competitiveness, and sales of products supported by the WADA project. The specialist will provide technical guidance, design and deliver training, facilitate market linkages, and monitor marketing performance to ensure long term business growth for beneficiaries.
Tasks and performance: The Business Development Marketing & Branding Specialist will perform the following activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting market research assessments to identify opportunities, market trends, and customer preferences.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and branding strategies tailored to beneficiaries’ products.
- Designing and overseeing promotional campaigns, including product branding, packaging, digital marketing, and social media engagement.
- Monitoring market performance, customer feedback, product visibility, and compliance with market standards.
- Supporting the development of visual brand identities, packaging solutions, and promotional materials to enhance product competitiveness.
Capacity Building and Technical Support
- Providing technical guidance to producers, cooperatives, and small businesses on marketing, branding, digital promotion, and packaging.
- Designing and delivering practical training on modern marketing techniques, brand management, and customer engagement.
- Developing high-quality training materials, manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marketing and branding activities.
- Supporting business planning and financial literacy initiatives with a focus on strengthening marketing and branding development.
Stakeholder Coordination and Reporting
- Facilitating linkages between producers, buyers, retailers, and marketplaces to expand market access and sales opportunities.
- Coordinating with project teams, track performance indicators, document lessons learned, and supporting operational field activities.
- Preparing detailed progress reports, training completion reports, and market performance analyses to inform decision-making and project improvement.
