Key Responsibilities – Construction / Civil / Infrastructure Engineer (Power Sector)

Supervise and manage civil works for substations, transmission line foundations, buildings, and related infrastructure.

Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and schedules.

Review civil designs, drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.

Supervise contractors and monitor workmanship, materials, and construction methods.

Coordinate with electrical and other engineering teams to ensure proper integration of works.

Ensure HSE compliance and safe working practices at project sites.

Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and recommend corrective actions.

Prepare site reports, progress updates, and documentation for project management.
Construction Planning & Design
- Review civil and structural drawings, specifications, and topographical data.
- Prepare BOQs, schedules, material estimates, and method statements.
- Coordinate foundation design, excavations, reinforcement, and concreting.
Site Supervision & Execution
- Manage daily site operations including manpower and materials.
- Supervise building works, equipment foundations, trenches, control buildings, fencing, and access roads.
- Ensure contractor compliance with specifications.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Implement QA/QC procedures (concrete, soil, steel testing).
- Enforce HSE standards.
- Prepare daily site reports and inspection checklists.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with electrical engineering, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Participate in meetings, inspections, and audits.
