AWDREO established in 2015, aims to be a catalyst for promoting peace, stability and development, alongside the government of Afghanistan, by targeting the marginalized. Women, girl’s youth and children, the illiterate and the poor people in Rural Communities.

Job Descriptions:

The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and successful implementation of AWDREO project across multiple provinces of operation. The position ensures high-quality delivery, donor compliance, effective coordination among technical teams, and achievement of project objectives in line with organization’s mission and the donor’s requirements

Main Responsibilities:

  • Organization programs and activities by the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Creating and managing long- term goals.
  • Develop and evaluation methods to assess program strenghts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Developing project and Annual Report.
  • Managing the team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including safety, quality, and team member performance.
  • Implementing and maintaining changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Meeting with donors and stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Receiving progress reports from the project manager and share with the Executive Director.
  • Participating in the session review of policies and plan.
  • Analyzing progress risks.
  • Work closely with donors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Development Studies, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing donor-funded development projects, preferably focused on women’s economic empowerment, livelihoods, or MSME development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in multi-provincial programs.
  • Strong financial management, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto; working proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
