Develop detailed project implementation and activity plans in coordination with the Executive Director, project team, MEAL, finance, procurement, administration, and other relevant departments to ensure timely implementation and availability of required resources.

Lead the overall implementation of the MPWC project in Nangarhar in accordance with the approved project proposal, workplan, budget, results framework, and UN Women requirements.

Coordinate and oversee the establishment and effective functioning of the Multi-Purpose Women’s Centre and ensure that services are delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with agreed quality standards.

Ensure effective implementation of integrated services for women and girls, including livelihood support, vocational and business skills development, literacy and numeracy, psychosocial support, mobile outreach, referral services, and community engagement.

Lead the implementation of the livelihood pathway targeting women, including market assessment, vocational and business training, start-up support, market linkages, mentoring, and follow-up.

Ensure effective coordination and implementation of literacy and numeracy activities targeting the women and girls.

Oversee psychosocial support activities targeting women and girls and ensure appropriate referral to specialized services where required.

Coordinate mobile outreach activities targeting women and girls, ensuring safe and appropriate access to project services.

Facilitate structured engagement with community members to promote awareness, acceptance, participation, and sustainability of project interventions.

Ensure that project activities are implemented using gender-responsive, protection-sensitive, conflict-sensitive, inclusive, and do-no-harm approaches.

Maintain effective communication and coordination with UN Women and provide timely updates on project progress, achievements, challenges, risks, and required actions.

Represent AYSO in relevant project coordination meetings with UN Women, government authorities, community representatives, women’s groups, service providers, and other relevant stakeholders as assigned.

Provide effective leadership, supervision, guidance, and technical support to project staff and field teams.

Conduct regular project review meetings with the project team and ensure timely follow-up on agreed actions.

Monitor project implementation against approved workplans, targets, indicators, timelines, and deliverables and take corrective action where necessary.

Work closely with the MEAL team to ensure proper monitoring, documentation, verification, and reporting of project results.
-
Ensure timely collection, review, and use of accurate project data, including sex- and age-disaggregated information where applicable.

Ensure that beneficiary feedback, community concerns, lessons learned, and recommendations are properly documented and incorporated into project implementation.

Prepare and coordinate timely and quality narrative reports, progress reports, donor updates, and other required project documentation for submission to UN Women and AYSO management.

Ensure that all reported project achievements are supported by appropriate documentation and monitoring evidence.

Work closely with the finance and administration teams to monitor project expenditure against the approved budget and ensure proper utilization of project resources.

Review budget utilization regularly and identify potential underspending, overspending, budget variances, and financial risks, and report these to the Executive Director.

Coordinate with the procurement and administration teams to ensure timely and transparent procurement of goods and services required for project implementation.

Ensure that project procurement and expenditure processes comply with AYSO policies, UN Women requirements, and applicable procedures.

Support financial reviews, audits, donor monitoring visits, and other compliance-related processes and ensure timely follow-up on recommendations.

Conduct regular risk analysis of overall project implementation, including programme, financial, operational, safeguarding, security, and access risks, and report significant risks to the Executive Director.

Ensure that appropriate risk mitigation and contingency measures are developed and implemented.

Ensure compliance with AYSO safeguarding, PSEA, code of conduct, anti-fraud, anti-corruption, confidentiality, data protection, and other relevant policies.

Ensure that women and girls participating in the project are treated with dignity, respect, confidentiality, and without discrimination.

Ensure that appropriate feedback, complaints, safeguarding, and referral mechanisms are available and functional for project participants.

Maintain proper project files, records, reports, attendance sheets, monitoring documents, correspondence, procurement documentation, and other relevant supporting documents.

Facilitate cross-learning between the MPWC project and other AYSO programmes and participate in relevant knowledge-sharing, coordination, and learning events.

Maintain excellent communication and coordination with project staff, management, UN Women, government counterparts, community stakeholders, and other relevant actors.

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashtu, with strong report-writing and documentation skills.

Participate actively in relevant meetings at the central, provincial, and community levels.

Conduct regular field visits and supportive supervision to monitor the quality and progress of project activities and provide necessary technical and managerial support to field teams.

Ensure timely identification and resolution of implementation challenges and escalate issues requiring management decisions to the Executive Director.

Support project reviews, assessments, evaluations, monitoring missions, and other programme learning activities as required.

Ensure proper project closeout, including completion of planned activities, documentation, asset and financial reconciliation, final reporting, lessons learned, and handover of relevant project materials.

To work closely with the team and relevant departments for the proper and timely closeout of the project.

Perform any other project-related task as assigned by the Line manager.
